I’m pleased to announce that in the event I were ever to go join a startup, I can still push out heroic 90+ hour work weeks, kinda like last week. Between fighting fires at work in my day job and frantically trying to put the final spit and polish on my PCI core hotplug series before the 2.6.30 merge window opens, there hasn’t been much time for anything else.
Ok, that’s not true — friend group had a jawesome Celebration o’ Ribs last Friday that let me blow off some steam. Good times.
A few things I’ve been working on…
- PCI core learns hotplug, v3. Turns out testing this patch series is a good way to expose latent bugs in the rest of the PCI core and drivers. To date, I’ve found 1 ASPM bug and 2 problems with the PCIe port driver. Today, Vegard Nossum started waterboarding this series and has turned up at least one locking issue and another use-after-free memory problem. 2.6.30? I think I can… I think I can…
- my resume/portfolio. No need to be alarmed, nothing going on with me today, but in this economy, it never hurts to be prepared…
And some good links from the rest of the intarwebs:

Back to the grind.
