Allow me to indulge in a rant. Dear annoying American guy from Brooklyn: you are American. You have an American accent. It’s just the way it is, so get used to it. When you speak in a confused jumbled mealy-mouthed mishmash of Aussie, English, Irish, Brooklyn, Welsh, and Moron, everyone can tell.
