celebrating manuary
by alex
As an Asian, I am blessed with soft skin, super intelligence, and extreme frugality. However, there are some things that as a race, we just can’t do well. Growing facial hair is one of them.
Ne’ertheless, to celebrate Manuary, I got a head start this year, starting the growth process in mid-December, and throwing off the shackles of society for two months. One of the many side benefits of growing some bad looking facial hair (aside from the obvious, inherent humor value), is that shaving it off was a great, free Valentine’s day gift for Jenny (who absolutely detested it).
A sample daily conversation:
“When are you going to shave? That looks horrible.”
“That’s exactly why it’s funny — because it looks bad.”
“Isn’t Manuary over yet?”
“Can you make me a sandwich?”
My real friends will find the following sequence of pictures to be humorous. Enjoy.
— 2 months of growth
— cleaned up fu manchu
— yarr!
— valentine’s day gift (me)

You forgot to add “bitch” to the sandwich question.
awesome man, especially the patch of junk that sprouted from your chin in the last one. all you needed was a wooden opium pipe and a treasure cat then you could take over the world. happy new year hombre.
cheers,
you will be happy to know that in a few months, the fro will be grown out for an extended period of time.. hopefully the pictures i get will be somewhat near as great as the fu… also, is it weird that you look vaguely mexican whenever you grow your hair out?
HAHA! I gotta laugh. I have been growing my own pathetic attempt at a beard. Although I went for the “full” beard, my Irish heritage has prevented me from connecting the chops to the ’stache and the ’stache to the chin… I have been promising the ole lady to have a Festival of Beards Week where I whittle out a new beard configuration every day for a week until it is all gone. Monday is “nicely trimmed beard” day. Tomorrow the real chopping begins. Pictures on the blog to follow! LOL!
